If possible, please allow for critical integration time by taking a few extra days off following the Reiki training.

We will spend six days at a beautiful private sanctuary nestled at the foot of Mount Shasta, where we slow our roll, cultivate the vessel, and drop into Mother Nature—preparing ourselves to receive the teachings and Reiju 靈授, a sacred spiritual blessing transmitted from teacher to student within the crystalline field of Mount Shasta.

As settlers and guests of Turtle Island, we will honor the original ancestors and stewards of the land by learning to be in right relationship with our relatives that make up our natural surroundings.

We will weave in resonant practices drawn from Buddhism, Shinto, Shugendō, Daoism, and the Lakota ways—practicing humility, reciprocity, and deep reverence for the natural world.

This immersion follows an initiatory progression of purification, cultivation, transmission, and integration.

As an invitation to reconnect with Source, we will experience and learn through the following practices and teachings:

• 禊 Misogi — a Shinto and Shugendō–based water purification practice through 滝行 takigyō, a waterfall meditation and austerity practice that cleanses the mind, body, and spirit, releases the ego, restores connection with nature, and prepares the practitioner for initiation and transmission.
  (~2-mile mostly flat round-trip hike, with a short, steep incline at the one-mile mark)

• Traditional Indigenous purification ceremony, held for deep healing, death, and rebirth.
  (Participants will be guided in preparing appropriate offerings.)

• 森林浴 shinrin-yoku — the Japanese practice of forest bathing, cultivating presence, receptivity, and attunement with the natural world.

• The syncretic spiritual influences and history of 靈氣 Reiki, including its roots in Japanese spiritual and cultural life.

• An introduction to 靈氣 Reiki through the etymology of its kanji characters and its relationship to Japanese shamanic traditions.

• 五戒 Gokai — the Reiki Principles and Precepts, recited in both Japanese and English.

• Foundational Core Reiki Practices and Daily Cultivation.

• The three Reiki symbols or shirushi (三つの靈氣印) including brushstroke practice and sequencing through 書道 shodō (Japanese calligraphy), and their corresponding 呪文 jumon (incantations).

• Hand positions for practicing Reiki on oneself and others.

• Byōsen — an intuitive scanning method used to guide a Reiki session.

• Individual and group distant Reiki practices, including work across time and space.

• Exploration of the three major Daoist energy centers.

• Guidance in offering a full Reiki session, including how to open and close a session and how to maintain energetic integrity.
  (While “protection” language is a Western construct, many therapists and healing practitioners find these boundary practices supportive.)

• Receiving 靈授 Reiju — a direct spiritual blessing and empowerment transmitted from teacher to student.

• If time allows: learning how to respectfully harvest spring water and cedar medicine in right relationship and reciprocity with Uŋčí Makȟá — Grandmother Earth.

• Practices for remaining open to insight, synchronicity, and ongoing connection to Spirit.

The training cost is based on the accommodation you select. Accommodations are first come, first served and ranges from $2,650–$3,200 per person.

To register for the training and secure your spot, a non-refundable deposit of $500 is required.

To reserve your accommodation and determine what you will pay for the training, will require you to select your room and submit the first installment to secure it. 

After filling out the registration form and submitting your non-refundable deposit of $500, you will receive a “Book Your Room” link within 24 hours to choose your accommodation and submit your first installment.

After your first installment, the remaining balance is simply spaced into two additional payments, due on:

The Training
In depth Reiki training taught from a Japanese cultural perspective, that incorporates Shinto, Buddhist, and Shugendō ascetic practices.

諸星 京子 Marie Kyoko Morohoshi (Morohoshi Sensei), the founder of STAR NATION REIKI brings over forty years of ceremonial and spiritual training grounded in Zen Buddhism and indigenous practices.

Accommodations
Nestled at the foot of Mt Shasta, we’ll be staying in a private sanctuary with thoughtfully curated rooms and spaces with views of forests, meadows, and lovely gardens, creating a serene and deeply restful experience.

Training Materials
Receive a student planner, reference book, practice manual, and a shodō Japanese calligraphy pen for drawing Reiki symbols.

Reciprocity with Indigenous Communities
A small portion of your training fee supports a Lakota ceremonial family and the Winnemem Wintu Tribe of Buliyum Puyuuk (Mount Shasta). With permission and blessings from Chief Caleen Sisk, our training is conducted in respectful relationship with the land and waterways where some of our experiences take place.
